Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 4, 2026
This page explains how VTuber Portal handles personal data, cookies, local storage, and third-party services.
Information we collect
When you create or use an account, VTuber Portal may collect account details such as your username, display name, email address, password hash, profile avatar, linked OAuth provider information, and verification status.
When you use the service, we may store content and activity you submit, including videos, VTuber and Clipper profiles, comments, reports, moderation decisions, claim requests, title progress, reputation history, follows, blocks, votes, and video watch or interaction data needed to provide site features.
We may also process technical information such as IP address, browser details, request logs, security events, and timestamps to operate, secure, debug, and moderate the service.
How we use information
We use your information to provide account access, personalize your experience, show public profile and contribution data, operate reputation and title systems, process reports and claims, prevent abuse, secure the service, send transactional emails, and maintain the reliability of VTuber Portal.
We do not sell your personal information. VTuber Portal may display advertising and may use advertising, marketing, or measurement cookies where legally permitted and where any required consent has been provided.
Public content
Some information is public by design, including public usernames, display names, avatars, contribution counts, comments, reputation-related public profile data, VTuber or Clipper profile edits, and other content you choose to submit publicly.
Do not post personal information in public fields unless you want it to be visible to other users.
Cookies and local storage
VTuber Portal uses strictly necessary cookies for authentication and security, including access and refresh session cookies. Google OAuth may also use temporary cookies during the sign-in or registration flow.
The site stores some preferences locally in your browser, such as theme, sidebar state, and video player preferences. These are used to provide expected site functionality and are not used for advertising.
VTuber Portal may display ads. Advertising, marketing, or measurement cookies are optional and should only be used where legally permitted and after any required consent.
Third-party services
Google reCAPTCHA may be used on registration and login flows to prevent abuse. Google may receive technical information about your browser and interaction with the captcha.
Google OAuth may be used if you choose to sign in or register with Google. In that case, Google provides account information needed for authentication, such as your provider identifier, email address, name, and avatar when available.
YouTube and Google APIs may be used to retrieve public video metadata and display video playback features. This means VTuber Portal uses YouTube API Services. Your use of embedded YouTube playback may be subject to Google and YouTube privacy practices, including the Google Privacy Policy, the YouTube Terms of Service, and the YouTube API Services Terms of Service.
Email delivery providers or infrastructure may process transactional emails such as account verification, password reset, account change confirmation, and claim notifications.
Data retention
We keep account and contribution data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain moderation history, protect users, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse.
Reports and related moderation data are generally kept for up to 12 months after closure, unless longer retention is necessary to handle a dispute, protect the service, enforce moderation decisions, or comply with legal obligations.
Security logs, including login attempt records, are generally kept for up to 90 days, unless longer retention is necessary to investigate abuse, protect accounts, secure the service, or comply with legal obligations.
Activity and audit logs are generally kept for up to 12 months, unless longer retention is necessary for security, dispute handling, moderation integrity, or legal compliance.
Some data may remain after deletion where it is necessary for security, audit, moderation integrity, backups, or legal compliance. Public content may be removed, anonymized, or retained depending on the feature and moderation needs.
Your choices and rights
You can update some account information from your profile settings. You can also request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal data where applicable.
You may sign out to clear active authentication on the current browser. You can also remove local preferences through your browser settings.
You can refuse optional advertising, marketing, or measurement cookies from the cookie notice. You can also remove local cookie preferences through your browser settings.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect user accounts and service data. No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so you should use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.
